Billet paysan #43 | Lille

Peasant ticket #43 | Lille

In the end it wasn't -30 or -40.
After having seen and seen again the red brick of #Toulouse for a long time, I finally had the pleasure of seeing for the first time in my life the brick of #Lille .
As expected, the people were extremely nice and came to listen very politely to the explanations of each vintage.
The accent from the #South blends in with all the others, from the Schnord or from our Belgian neighbors.
On Friday I think I spoke more English than French to groups who had come in force from the Netherlands...
The days are long, at 4pm I thought several times that it was 7pm but it always ends up passing!
And then, in the middle of this ballet, sometimes chaotic, bottle in hand, scotch in the other, followed by a #Limoncello .
In the middle, like an improbable mirage, we come back to reality. My best friend who appears behind a glass, express return trip from #Paris just to see how his, perhaps, favorite winemaker is doing 🥹
And that's when we tell ourselves that we're lucky, that all this is not in vain.
In short, Lille, you were magnificent for a 1st Salon des @vigneronsindependants !
We will come back 😘
